Leg Pain
Leg pain is one of the most common types of pain, behind spinal or back pain that patients seek chiropractic care for. Chiropractors are experts at diagnosing the source of the leg pain and providing effective treatment. Getting a correct diagnosis may prevent the pain from getting worse and improve your long-term outlook.
Leg pain may present as a dull ache to an intense stabbing sensation. There are 3 different types of leg pain:
> Musculoskeletal - This refers to pain involving one or more components of the musculoskeletal system, which includes the body’s bones, joints, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Common causes of musculoskeletal pain include bruising, bone fractures, overuse injuries, infections, ligament strains, muscle strains, and tendonitis.
> Neurological - Neurological leg pain is related to the body’s nerves. Common causes include restless legs syndrome, neuropathy (nerve damage), and sciatic nerve pain.
> Vascular - Conditions affecting the blood vessels can also lead to leg pain. The most common causes of vascular leg pain are peripheral artery disease (PAD), deep vein thrombosis (DVT), varicose veins, cellulitis, and infections.

Your Leg Pain Could Be Sciatica
